Stories and Outcomes Blog "One of the best experiences I've had" - Ben Ben's work experience with Hope into Action Generous, compassionate and giving. These are a few of the many delightful words I would use to describe not just the Charity, Hope into Action, but the staff there too. During my work experience, I had a deeper understanding of the many roles and responsibilities at Hope into Action and what goes on behind the scenes. I found that Hope into Action's main objective is to "empower" tenants and they do this by seeing them as equals and people who matter. They host tenants in houses provided by investors and link them up with churches who build relationships with them and support them. I think this model gives Hope into Action depth as everyone comes together as a community to support people affected by homelessness. Throughout my stay, I got to experience different departments in Hope into Action such as Finance, Human Resources, Property Development and Supporter Relations. In these departments, I was not only given the opportunity to learn but to perform tasks. This was hugely beneficial in guiding me towards an idea of what I want to do when I'm older and the path to take in achieving my objective. At Hope into Action, there were many interesting sectors to explore and new tasks to perform- which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were kind-hearted, helpful and selfless. They took the time to teach me things I would have never known or thought about. This further reinforced my view of Hope into Action as one of the best experiences I've had. Manage Cookie Preferences
