Support your local Hope into Action Portsmouth Today! Local details Hope into Action Portsmouth opened our first house in the city in 2019, and we've been growing ever since! We provide houses with support for people who are homeless for a variety of reasons, including people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, survivors of domestic abuse, people who've been in prison, and refugees. We work in partnership with a variety of Christian churches in the Portsmouth area to provide housing with support to help some of the most vulnerable people in the city rebuild their lives. Our partner churches provide supportive friendship, investment, prayer and a caring community for our tenants. Hope into Action manage the referral process, the tenancy and house maintenance, and provide ongoing professional support to empower our tenants to make long lasting positive changes in their lives and ultimately to move on into longer term accommodation. We have a vision of every church in Portsmouth lovingly making a home for someone without a home.
