Events EW Professional Development: Staying Safe Training - Tuesday 30th June Keeping tenant facing people (whether paid or unpaid) safe remains our number one priority, so join others from the HiA Network to discuss this important topic, learn de-escalation techniques and consider different ways we can minimise anti-social behaviour and mitigate risk. Responding to feedback from our frontline staff, we are providing two training days for EWs and F&S who would like to explore the notion of personal safety and lone working in more depth, in Peterborough and Southampton. There is a shared consensus that the support needs of our tenants are rising so it is wise we review this and agree approaches and frameworks. Although occurrences where staff and volunteers feel unsafe either due to verbal threats or physical violent behaviour are rare, they are a reality which it’s important we continue to address and discuss. "Kate was g8 - educating & engaging - a fun day at work about a serious topic, thanks Kate! Don't our brains learn best when we're having fun!?" "I really appreciated the variety of techniques, the pace, the use of the room, interactions with screen media and handouts, different participant groupings, 'stand on a line' for raising the energy and mingling, and especially the mini whiteboards that Kate used. Kate did a great job!" Peterborough Date: Tuesday 30th June 2026Time: 09:30am - 4:00pmVenue: Park Road Baptist Church, PE1 2TF Click here to book your ticket Any questions?
